This is a fine example and brilliant use of the Hand Dyed Artisan Yarn, knitted by Cathy. Using a combination of coloured blended skeins, to create this unique garment. the orange as seen in the detailed image is picked up by her hair colour, with the blues reflected in her eyes. My photography skills are sadly lacking to show this.
Using 400gms to complete it Cathy used a 5mm knitting needles, and remarked that this "show yarn doesn't need a complicated stitch pattern".
Another point is that space dyed yarns are great for beginner knitters, if their tension is slightly uneven, the colour variation conceals a variety of sins. Also winding the 100gm skeins into 25gm balls and knit using 2 balls from different skeins, working two rows from each ball at a time. Then colour variation between skeins are unnoticed.
Cathy first saw the yarn at Warner's Textile Archive, Braintree CM7 3GB where they have it on show and for sale.
A full range of Hand Dyed Artisan Yarn, blended & solid colours, also Artisan Carded Batts in blended colours for hand spinning and felting. Hand Dyed teased fleece, and a selection of hands spun yarns will be at the next Warner's Textile Archive, Textile Fair, in the British Wool Room, at the Braintree Town Hall.
Hope to see you there!

This is an example of weaving using Hand Dyed Artisan Yarn, it shows the random effect of the colours which were used for the warp and weft. I was delighted to see the finished scarf as it highlighted the colour effect obtainable with the yarn, and is an excellent piece of work by Anne Bland a member of the Middle Essex Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers who meet once a month at White Notley village hall.
